In a significant step forward for scalable and secure IoT deployments, Indesmatech is proud to announce the successful integration of Long Range - Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (LR-FHSS) support into the Kerlink iBTS gateway. This major enhancement is designed to substantially increase the capacity and robustness of LoRaWAN® networks - especially in dense environments - and meets growing interest in testing LR-FHSS for use-cases where end-devices could connect to satellites.
The Kerlink iBTS gateway, already recognized for its high reliability in industrial and carrier-grade IoT applications, now features Software-Defined Radio (SDR) capabilities upgraded by Semtech to support LR-FHSS - a cutting-edge technology standardized by the LoRa Alliance®. This upgrade significantly enhances network scalability and spectral efficiency without compromising on LoRaWAN’s well-known low-power, long-range benefits.
Indesmatech, a specialist in wireless integration and advanced connectivity, has led the end-to-end
integration of LR-FHSS into the iBTS platform, ensuring a smooth deployment path. With this collaboration, customers can now benefit from early access to the technology for testing and proof-of-concept (POC) deployments, using the only gateway currently available on the market that supports it.
